No Excuse

December 27, 2007 · No Comments

Other people have been able to keep up with their online life even if they are busy and yes, yes, I keep telling myself that no one is above the internet so I should not have any excuse why I haven’t been updating. STILL.

Christmas vacay I have been, where else, at my parent’s city in Cagayan de Oro, and yes, saw familiar faces and little babies that go, “Tita, where is my gift??”

at Michelle’s with Joe and Xenia

The baby. :)

the babies.

The tita is therefore compelled with hands tied to come again bearing gifts. I am just glad that I didn’t panic-shop this year. Early September I have been coming up with gifts one by one to people who deserve them, teehee, a Scroogey Santa, like that.

The biker gave me a cute little blue tube dress that has a white thin belt in the midsection. It was just funny that by the time I had the occasion to wear it, it turned out the dress just falls short near my calves. EEK! Too early for Sunday mass. You have to thank yayas who are so skilled with sewing. She turned my dress into a bubble dress that is now is 3 inches above my knees.

I didn’t get JUST that from him. I got a helmet, too!

It is sooo weird. Now that I have that thing on, I feel so NOT secure it is like helmet shops should put on a banner when they sell: SECURITY IS MENTAL. Everything I put that thing on and the motor’s running and we’re snaking through traffic at the Waterfront, I hear myself mumbling, “Oh my God, we’re going to die! We’re going to die!” The helmet is like the seatbealt that I never put on when I’m on my car – there is just nothing to remind you (like a red light indicator) that you are not taking precaution. Caution is something I’ve thrown into the wind ever since I started liking men and having relationships with them.

I do not think I need a helmet, really, and might as well tell everything around us to hit us, run us over whatever. But the gesture was appreciated, nonetheless, not taken for granted. It screams commitment and any woman would have been giddy to have something close to the Big C. But let’s see.

(more pictures next POST. PROMISE)
